There is an expression and a movie about the love of trucking "the mistress of the road".

I think I need to correct myself. Putting links in posts should be ok? but in my signature was "banned for life". My experience is to get rid of http, www, and
.com and the machine might overlook. We need to have links in our discussion
or it is impossible to evaluate as a group source documents.

I am not looking to get around the rules. I understand why they have them and appreciate that this board is not filled with spam.

I am not looking to get around the rules either. However we must be able to post links without having our accounts shut down due to absentee administration. Having ran the busiest website in the world both in infrastructure and in application support, I have an idea of when discussion is unfairly compromised poorly configured websites. We must be able to post links in order to discuss. It is rather reactionary to ban some grandma because she absently put her children's blog in the signature. Poor grandma does not know the workarounds to remedy the situation and should not have to create another email account or delete cookies off her computer to participate. I am making this blog better by knowing the potholes in the road for others.

There is no "absentee administration" on this board. When my blog address was removed from my signature, I received an email from an admin explaining why. We then had a great discussion on the rules. the admins on this site are all volunteer and I appreciate that they keep it pretty tidy around here. I also disagree that you have to put the actual link in a post to discuss topic. People can look it up if they are interested....or private message you.

The site is configured in a way that I think less than desirable. It is true that I did not put a link in a post to determine if that is an issue. Upon setup I put a link without hypertext in my signature which got me banned for life on the first account.

I remember your link to your blog in the signature. Because you posted previously and were not an alleged spammer upon registration, you were given an advisory of the rules of the board.

I in fact mentioned your link to blog in a reply which appears to have coincided with your one-on-one email exchange from blog administrators.
Absentee management by definition is a blog with automatic administration rules. How many blogs do you think have a person personally attending to your mistakes? You should be complimented on your status and civility on such a busy blog to get personal attention.

I assure you my comments on the functioning of the blog are based on merit and not personal. All blogs can be configure better and they are alll full of holes that you can "drive a truck" through. I enjoy this blog.

I find it hard to even say this but we are broken down again. At least we were able to deliver our Fedex load to Salt Lake City. We are at the Freightliner Dealer getting the same problem fixed for the third time. We will be heading to Tunnel Hill as soon as it is fixed. I think we will be getting a new truck. Once again, breakdown is treating us like gold.

Well, the really good news is that this mechanic actually found something broken. My issue before was that they just cleaned out the clog, then they recalibrated the software. This time they found a defective sensor in the DEF tank. It is a cluster that includes the sensor, pump and heater. A new part is on the way from Memphis and will be installed this afternoon. I think it may really solve the problem. I have been saying all along that I thought we were going through WAY too much DEF fluid but I could not get anyone to listen. We have been using about 20 gallons every 6000 miles. USX is having problems with a bunch of the new trucks so I would rather fix this one and be done than start over.
We are in a hotel and I am having a lazy morning. Time for breakfast, a swim and a soak in the hot tub.
