    Shadow777 Scarlett was my recruiter also...I have talked to her and she has to get it cleared by the safety department and if she does then she can send me to another terminal for orientation.

    bwajla why did they think you needed sleep test done.what brought that up ,your neck size or do they want every driver to have one?

    Not everyone needs a sleep test done...Only 3 of us did when i went.

    According to my height of 6"1' and weight of 270 lbs....they said my bmi is a 37. So they had to measure my neck which was over 16in. She then told me I had to have a sleep apnea test done.

    She told me it was a new DOT law that went into effect 6mths ago. Ive never heard of it and told her that. She told me any BMI over 30 and neck bigger then 16in disqualifys me.

    Ive never heard of this or ever had it happen before.

    Im 5'11 and 280 never asked to measure my neck or said anything about sleep apnea.

    This is where I think this test is so discriminating because I am 5' 11'' and am 350lbs. I can understand if the person sits behind a desk eating all day. My last job delivering siding to houses I had to unload by hand I lifted 1000 to 6000 lbs a day.

    We are STILL sitting at Tunnel Hill. What a frustrating two weeks. The truck is fixed but the load for Xpress Global that we were supposed to grab last night at midnight has gotten pushed off to 18:00 today. Our regular FM would have gotten us on something else right away but it is the weekend. We have been in the shop or waiting on a load for most of the last two weeks. We only had about 2000 miles last week (a short week. It has been bearable for the most part since we have been able to spend a ton of time with our son and daughter in law and our two amazing grandchildren and also time with Anne's father and friends but I am tired of not moving. This job has been an amazing experience but it can be so frustrating sometimes. No difference really from my old life but back then I got paid even if things were not going well. I am going to spend the day getting some old tasks done that I have been putting off.

    You just need to pick a door at the shop and put your name on it...LOL......it's nice that you can spend your time with family, tho.

    Question for you and Anne....since you're just sitting around.....are those tension rods that you have your clothes hanging on?....I'm thinking about turning my closet into a fridge/drawer unit area and hanging the clothes rod at the foot of my bed....trying to make this truck work for two people and where my trainee doesn't have to live out of a duffle bag...LOL
