The day started out awesome. My parents and my daughter met us for breakfast in Fife Washington. Since we are missing Thanksgiving, it was a very nice substitute.

Then uggggh, all day running around in the rain mostly unsuccessful in trying to shag empty trailers for our fleet owner. Glad we are finally heading over Snoqualmie Pass and points East.

Well we made it home a day early and it was sorely needed. We ended up with 7965 miles for the week and the last 24 hours were spent in HORRIBLE weather. We hit bad weather in Washington and had to shut down due to chain requirement. The 70+ miles in Idaho were not bad at all and until Lookout Pass which was not a nice drive. Then there was Montana. Oh my goodness. Rain, Sleet, Ice, Snow and Wind. Take your pick. It was a really long drive from Montana to Cheyenne. Totally drained and exhausted. I have the glass guys coming to the house this afternoon to fix our windshield. Big rock hit and luckily it was under the passenger wipers but with the cold weather it spread. Glad we won't have to wait anywhere to get it fixed and today is going to be a lazy day. Craig is down for the count. He had the worst of the drive and is exhausted. Looking forward to some good rest and a ####tail tonight. Hope everyone is doing great and running hard!

Well we are making another move. We didn't expect to do it but our fleet manager is transferring to an owner/operator board and we will be losing him. We will be transferring to the refer divison. Looking forward to it since we have some friends that do it and are very happy and they also have the same fleet manager. Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes easy!!!

Kewl! Wasn't aware that USX even had reefers. Is the reefer fleet all teams or do they have solo's running them too?

    mtnMoma Thanks this.

We are having another 6000+ week but haven't run a single reefer load. Went to the new FM and have run from Hermiston to Portland to Laredo and back to Portland. Looks like we will have to do a 34 hour reset shortly. Liking the miles but really tired. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The one good thing about working the holiday was the parking at truck stops. WOW. You had your pick of the litter. Don't plan on working it next year though. We both missed our family way too much. We did enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner at Denny's and watched some football. Not quite the same but it worked.

    mtnMoma Thanks this.

How many miles are ya'll averaging a week over like the last 3 months? How many mile will you average after the first of the year during the slow season? A recruiteer told me that their teams constantly average over 5000 mile a week year round, Is this true?

Yes, that is true for us. Over the last year we have averaged over 5500 miles a week
