Nice to hear that your wife now has a trainer and hopefully in another three weeeks or so, you both can get back together and start team driving!! When a driver has family and loved ones back at home (and the distance back to home is an ever changing variable), being on the road and not knowing when we will see them again can be an unexpectedly difficult thing to deal with mentally.

Downtown Denver can be a 'fun' place to navigate with all the one-way streets. A month or so ago I had a night pick-up inside the convention center. The entrance was just an ordinary door off of a one-way street that led to a concrete spiral roadway that went up about two levels. Then I drove right out onto the convention center floor where workers were dismantling an international exhibit. There was a balcony nearby where I could look out over the city at night--a nice view. Probably the most interesting pick-up I've had so far.

    NoCoCraig Thanks this.

Anne (T.Bear) is out on the road. Her trainer picked her up yesterday morning. They went and picked up a load and are heading to Baton Rouge. She really likes her trainer and I think he is enjoying it also. He said lot's of people want to talk to him now that she is in the truck :biggrin_255: There will be no living with her now since some driver at a truck stop told her yesterday that she should be a movie star, not a truck driver. Pray for me.

At US Xpress can you chose specifics on the trainer for example gender, non smoker, etc?

Good luck to T.Bear n keep truckin'

Yes you can be picky. She decided to only be picky on the non-smoking part. Even with that it took three weeks to get a trainer. There are not enough female trainers and a lot of male trainers will not train a woman.

As you can imagine, a lot of wives would not be comfortable with there husbands training a woman. Kinda weird but we are fine with it. Carl, her trainer, has been training for a while, married with three kids. Seems like a nice guy.
