    My hubby and I would like to thank all of you as I have been on line for last few weeks trying to decide which company to go with for team driving. Looks like US Express is way to go. He has been driving for TMC for almost a year and I gave myself Christmas present getting my CDL! Have been out quite a few times with him but we do not want to do flatbed hauling........awful trying to tarp or fold tarps in high wind, rain, etc. Trucker Forum was great for finding out which companies are bad or good. We almost made decision to go with Werner but it seems they are kind of poopy!

    Have a ?

    What are the tests they put you through in orientation for strength?

    They will have you pick up a milk crate with weights in it, about sixty pounds and lift it up onto a shelf a couple of times and then carry it up and down the hallway 3 times and they will check your heart rate each time. You will push on a device against the wall above your head and they will measure the pressure. You will then do the same except pull. you will step up on a ladder to simulate getting into a truck. You will crouch down and duck walk a couple of paces to simulate getting under a trailer. Takes less than 5 minutes. I think that is about it. They have two weight amounts for the basket, The higher weight amount is if you want to do a dedicated run.

    Yep, it is all fairly simple. Just an FYI, and I wish I had known, but the device you push and pull on does not give any, so you are pushing/pulling against a solid object.

    Well, I have had enough sittling. Truck had a number of small and a couple of big issues so we took it to Freightliner. Had an air leak and the A/C was out. Also had error codes and we are getting the back cycler on the drivers seat fixed (yea) We are ready to get rolling. Truck should be ready early afternoon today.

    Well, Good luck with USX... My team partner and I are not going to work for them.... They came up to my TP today and sent him home, The recruiters said over and over that his back ground would be fine and then HR tells him today that it's not... So I can not work for a company with no integrity... Alot of drivers like them and I am sure that they are good once hired, but good luck getting hired. And I understand how recruiters are but still.....

    WOOO HOOOO Today is my one year anniversary with USX. It has been a great ride so far. I have to wait a couple more months before I get my safety jacket but it could be worse. It has been an amazing year. We have met so many cool people from this site, on the road and made some great life long friends to boot. Life is pretty darn good!!!!!

    you get something each year and on the odd years you ALSO get a jasket so for 1 your you get a jacket, 2 year something, 3 year jacket & something, 4 year something, 5 year black & GOLD ring BLACK 5 year safety jacked, 6 year 13in flat screen tv.....
