    Simple, I don't get sick :biggrin_2559:....wasn't I a lot of help????

I honestly don't know what I would do if I was in a situation like you were. I've just been very blessed these past two years in that I haven't even had a cold.

Maybe try looking for an urgent care center. They are a lot cheaper then the ER. Just a thought.

I can tell you what not to do if you are a solo driver. DON'T TELL YOUR FM! :biggrin_25513:
I did and the next thing i got was a message for me not to move my truck. I was suspended . go to a doctor and get a letter that it was OK for me to drive. I asked her just how am i supposed to get to a doctor if i cant drive.
I was out in nowhere land and had no clue where to go. She said that was my problem. That is when I made my decision to leave USX.I made a few calls to Safety and got the suspension removed. But that was the end to my means to get home and empty my truck . On the next load i told her i was retiring after this load .Get me back to Medway to turn my truck in.
Up until that happened to me I enjoyed my time with USX.
It showed me that they really don't care about their drivers, if they did she would have said we will get you a ride to the doctor. Just my opinion.

That' the way it is with any company. It's a safety issue. If you say you are too sick to drive you will not be allowed to drive.

That came in real handy when I had a co-driver I wanted to get rid of :biggrin_25511:

How about vitemins.. excersize... proper diet... those things help stave off going to sick call.... otherwise we are just relying on luck... I to am blessed, rarely get sick of any kind but, got sick as hech when I was a kid... I have a great amune system and I keep it that way... pray you are feeling better T-Bear

Traveler58, really sorry to hear what happened to you. I understand why they say "you cant drive" when your sick. But I feel they should help with getting you to a Dr. IF YOU NEED ONE! A common cold or flue symtomes does not warrent going to the Dr. just some rest. But, their truck, their rules.....another reason to get your own truck...

So very true! For most, this is not an issue. When home, we know which ER is the best to go to and what Doctors have the best reputations. So OTR, not knowing who to trust with your life when you are the most vulnerable is a very difficult situation to be in. So VERY glad you are better! It was disheartening to read what you went through.

Thanks and luckily Craig and I are pretty darn healthy! I agree Urgent care is a cheaper way to go but how do you find the one closet to the freeway? Same issue with finding a vet on the road and usually when you need one, you need it quickly. Anyway hopefully it will be a long time before I need one again. Finished the last antibiotics last night and I'm good to go.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

Ahhhh, Denham Springs Louisiana. I think it is time to shut it down and OD on some football. Since we have 48 hours to go the last 686 miles we are going to enjoy this afternoon. No AC in the truck but it is only 73 (thank goodness) and a bit humid.

I am pretty sure that they have free apps for both of these for smart phones. I know that I have seen one for Urgent Care, I just dont remember the name of it.
