Leaking massive air. Will duct tape do the trick? Or is that dot violation? Thx

It is a violation for sure. No duct tape won't hold it.

    dboot01 Thanks this.

Replace it! Duck tape isnt going to hold that kind of pressure.

    dboot01 Thanks this.

Duct tape? There are no other options except replacing that hose.

You should have a spare air line in the truck always, when co pays for 2 air lines and one is put on keep the other line in side box, a adj, wrench or vice grip will let you be able to change one.

Posted November 8th. I'm curious to know if @dboot01 tried to wrap it with duct tape.

    dboot01 Thanks this.

I hate this kind of questions. It should be specifically detailed.

Are you at the truck stop, or in the middle of nowhere? Can you drop your trailer and bobtail to the shop? Do you have tools to replace the hose? And so on..

PS: If you have the tools and stuck nowhere, replace hoses blue to red and red to blue side. Duct tape the red (now blue) with a lot of it (electrical works better) and get to the nearest shop to buy lines, both of them, since they are old and fragile. Do not speed and keep an eye on pressure when you break. Blue line is a return, so it does not hold the air bags and breaks under constant pressure AFAIK.

Duct tape only works on Fords, right?
