Hi im new here to this forum but long time o/o
With those numbers in today's market
Your take home pay may be $1900.
Not counting truck maintenance not sure who pays that when renting.
Never pay more than 10% whith your equipment

You're the one who is renting it and leasing on to a company so it is your equipment.
Try to negotiate 10% and see how it goes till u can purchase your own equipment with lower payments

First and foremost, while this is a deal your working out with a long term and close friend. That relationship is over, and has little value now that you are a form of business partner. That is what your doing, forming a partnership.

Like any business partnership, the details Need to be worked out, the put into a document that spells out all the “W”s who, what, where, when, and even the hows.

Why is a documented agreement important. It is to provide a plan and protect both parties.

We do what we say, we say what we do and here is the documents to prove it.

Why get this type of documentation.
Simple, when your “Freind” gets into some legal or financial problem, any and every lawyer will be looking at you for potential recovery. A handshake and good word agreement does not protect you from the liabilities of the others.

There's gonna be a contract just like if I signed on to any other company. There's no handshake. This is business. Hopefully by the grace of god this doesn't go bad and cost me a friendship.

Sani the truck and trailer is under him. Ryder won't even look at you unless you've been in business for at least 3 years. I would never be able to go to Ryder and get a full maintenance lease on my own. A rental yes, lease no

I tried negotiating 10% they wouldn't go for it. I'm using a lot of their resources. I mean I'm literally just driving the truck and finding my own freight I don't have to worry about no back office work. If I was going there with my own equipment and was totally self sufficient I would have a leg to stand on for an argument. But where would I get the balls to ask for that using their authority, back office and equipment hook up.
