One of the first medical calls I went on has stuck with me for 16 years.

Harley Davidson Motorcycle with 1500 miles on it. It was something special according to some on the scene.

    Hit a deer.

    Driver and Passenger no helmets.

Driver went over the bars and down the road. Left a belt indent in the road for many feet. Softest head I ever have felt from the 150 foot ride on the pavement.

    Passenger had a softer landing.

Landed on the driver on the remaining ride.

Both lived, but would have better off with helmets.

OK canned their vehicle inspections......and picked up a ton of revenue for those things that were formerly caught by the yearly inspection.

Illinois has a seat belt law, but no helmet law and no vehicle inspections either except for emissions on older vehicles.

ummmm.....seems to be a bit of confusion here. Your insurance is good for the entire 12 months and it is prorated over 12, but in reality, you're only paying for six.

For the folks in Yoruba Linda......
If they were going to charge you the full rate, it would be, say $600, or $50 a month.
However, since they know you only use the vehicle 6 months out of the year, they only charge you $400 (yeah, they get the juice on the cheap policies), or $33. But the vehicle is indeed insured for 12 months. So, you save a bit.
