my thoughts are the same as yours, appeared to have well speced trucks, lots of military loads & at least 1 nine axle that I knew of.

Teresi is first class and they are picky about who they hire! John Teresi back in the day got out of his truck in a uniform with his best cowboy boots on so flip floppers need not apply!
The way it should be even today!

Lepton1, cnsper and truckdad Thank this.

I'm on my week vacation in SoCal now, TCB with my wife's car. I appreciate the positive feedback and plan to visit Teresi's Fontana terminal Friday. With all the military freight looks like I will need to get my TWIC.

Does SPD pay by the mile? What's the pay scale like?

Yes it's by the mile here. Start out at 41 cents with a penny raise every year. One cent Saftey bonus paid out at Christmas time. 25 per extra stop(we are a partial truckload carrier), 20 per tarp you throw so if you use 3 you get paid 60, additional pay for oversize which the company does a lot of.

They are working on a 6 cents per mile bonus and a garunteed minimum pay per week package. They say it should be done by the end of the month.

No one mentioned Barnett Heavy Haul. There in Devore area. They do some military heavy haul also. Clean equipment too. There just south of the 15, 215 split on the 215 side.

    Orangees and Lepton1 Thank this.

Also if you want to get into some big stuff I'd look at heavy transport they are out the LA area. Yard is off the 91 freeway. They haul for Bragg crane and do some big moves

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Alright, tomorrow I will be interviewing at Teresi and try to swing by Barnett on the way up. SPD has an online application, which I am doing. Heavy Transport is also on my list. Been a great week of vacation. The beautiful woman refuses to move to OKC, so I need to start looking at options to see her more than a couple times a year.

Many thanks to all that have responded. I'll keep you advised.

Rugerfan, Ruthless and MJ1657 Thank this.
