The way to fix that when I was working on a fly in fly out basis I'd be away for 4 weeks and home for 2 weeks working out at the Iron Ore mines in Western Australia, is just disconnect your battery, although a few years back I had a car placed in storage the battery I had in that lasted for well over 3 years. The only issue with disconnecting the battery is you have to reprogram your radio.Oxbow Thanks this.

I don't try to push it more than 1 hr personally depending on the my maximum reset time. Standard resets is what most trucking companies want so 1 hr drive max is reasonable. But if a Trucker has to drive 3 to 4 hrs home for a standard reset they're not getting much of a reset. It's a life choice technically if you care to have a life outside trucking or not. For some who put trucking only as their social life usually don't mine resetting in their trucks yearly.

There is a big difference between a reset and an actual home time.
tscottme Thanks this.
