You are responsible for the rig you are driving, you, not the trainer. If you didn’t feel ready you could have told Swift you needed more training, if they didn’t want to give it you then you could have left and found another OTR outfit to go with, pretty much all of them stick you with a trainer. Its your CDL and your driving record its also your job to protect both.

Don’t say your honesty screwed you over, it was hitting stationary objects that caused you these problems, its not like they came out of nowhere and jumped into the path of you trailer. You didn’t have to hit them.

Doubt she has a leg to stand on driver!
She should have told them she was not ready to be solo!
Swift has more attorneys than trucks I bet......

Maybe try some of the other megas, CR England Werner CST places like that, at least according to the gossip, are not overly picky.

Odds are you are going to have to put in some time at a less than perfect outfit to build up a better driving history

I could get her a job today with a phone call but would I? Nope!
She needs more training and I would not want to put my buddy who owns some trucks under that liability.
That is what the places she is trying to get hired with see.....Liability and most insurance would not touch that!
    Sucks but true....

Miss Shelly, you had admitted to the accidents as I pointed out in my posting, but you then had the nerve to say the mentors were at fault? Or you training was at fault? where were you when this training took place? It was YOUR responsibility to learn, watch, and do. Yes we all make mistakes, but not hardly enough to be fired on the spot, unless it was a devastating wreck where someone was killed. (as an example). My comments may be of a negative nature to you, but I can assure you that many others here are speaking the same, only you don't seem to be listening. I see YOU AT FAULT for your accidents, no matter the severity of them. Swift saw you as a liability, so let me ask you this, how many other students got fired from them for as many accidents that you had? I bet not many, if any at all, why? They probably GOAL, and worked at learning.

Not harsh, unless you have a weak stomach for the truth.

Please stop the bad mentor blame game, it took 2 to tango, and you from what you have said about your accidents, didn't dance well in training

Correct, she is and always would have been RESPONSIBLE for her actions as she was in the driver's seat. She got no more screwed over than any other student that mucks up and places the blame on others.

Yes poor training is a factor why all this happened but its your responsibility as a trainee to make sure you get the right training. What you can do is apply to more starter companies and suggest to your recruiter you'll go thru training again and won't complete training until I am fully confident and don't blame your trainers for what happened to your recruiter. You deffinately need more training.
