OK, a question to the OP. How is your depth perception? It sort of looks to me like your depth perception may be off a little bit. If so, it doesn't mean you can't do the job. It DOES mean you have to be aware of it, and compensate for it. Unless I misread your first post, you had problems pulling away, as well as backing in. This is not "normal," and (at least to me,) indicates that you may have a vision problem you aren't aware of. You might think about getting it checked. The fact that you do well on an eye chart, doesn't mean a thing to your depth perception.

Um, more than likely of just being SWIFT?:biggrin_25523:

Find a new career for 3 years, then try again.

I would suggest either Prime or Stevens, if they will take you. Both training programs are extremely thorough and lengthy. You would probably have to start at the beginning, with the non-CDL students. And that is IF they would take you, but that's not a bad idea, to help identify your weak areas and work on them...I bet self-confidence is an issue now.

If not, Western Express might be a choice.

At the very least, she has the CDL, may still have to sit in some classroom for a while, but if that's what THEY WANT, then she has to do it their way. But, still so many accidents from November to January? It's gonnabe a tough one. She may be told to wait several months, usually 6 ?

This forum is really great, Folks on here just like to help and bring someone under their wing of wisdom.
Encouraging really horrible drivers to pursue this career.

    Keep at it OP...

On the Flip side, Anyone mentions drugs, Members get flamed roasted and spit on.

Not sure how long you been lurking around, Welcome to TTR btw. This is nothing like the drug test questions. Those get brutal and hilarious.

OP has a history damaging crap and folks try to get her into another mega company. :biggrin_2559:
Why can't anyone just say this career isn't for her and move on, Instead encouraging to try again and again and again and again? :biggrin_2559:

Tell someone they can't do something, They prove you wrong and both sides is satisfied.

ah, ya I havent seen a drug thread yet.

But hey this is America, you have to keep giving them a chance to fail =P

I think the *hope* is she goes with a mega and gets seated with a halfway decent trainer and maybe learns to drive?

But ya the odds are this isnt for her, I mean im a horrible newbie, but I havent hit anything and dont back into poles, its not that hard not to hit stationary objects...

Maybe it's because we do see potential in everyone. There's nothing magical about driving a truck that practice can't cure, even lots of practice. And there's no reason to throw a driver under those 18 wheels for some screw ups.

She will make the right choice.

Answer this honestly. Both are paired up at CRST ( Random folks teaming ) Would you want to fall asleep in the bunk with her driving? Remember this is team driving, Not Training. A very Real Situation.

Many folks should not drive a car, worse driving a big truck. Some people just can't drive simple as that. Can't save everyone and I'm not throwing her under the wheels. screw ups lead to bigger screw ups. When is enough ?
