I have done so many u turns with a trailer, I dunno if it's against company policy, but it needs to be done sometimes.
Heck, if the op had a trailer when he did his, it probably wouldn't have set off the camera.

 

I wonder why a u turn is such a big deal in the first place?
..... I can't even count how many u turns I've made with zero problems ever !!!
I wonder how terrified the safety guy would be, if he saw one of his drivers do a flip shot ?
.... I bet he would get dizzy watching that on one of those creepy little spy cameras and also have the driver make an extremely " oh crap, oh crap" look on his face to make it look real
.....if he called asking questions just tell him that's your style
