Working on a frac site you might. Mainstreamers are on a DOT logs on Qualcomm so generally speaking we stick to working 12 hour shifts. The next shift appreciates us getting back within that 12 hours so they can start their days.

Here in Pennsylvania, frac sand is money maker. Colder temps like less than -1 degrees f would shut down the well.

sanook Thanks this.

Some of us do go into NM. There are others of us that do not cross. We were told by the head of safety that only those going to work frac sites can use the 5th line. As for the Texas log, I am on a Texas log. I don't cross state lines. I would like to do condensate but, we are just getting up and going with condensate here. We have I think 2 trucks working condensate.
Chibob Thanks this. -
Are any oilfield outfits running teams? Don't laugh, it USE to happen that some needed their crude hauled over 500 miles one way. Seems like pipelines may have ended that need but curious to find out if anyone knows if this is still going on (teaming crude).

Been up in Kansas hauling crude this winter. Wolf was running teams on a run from up around Greeley,CO down to a refinery I believe in Cushing or Weatherford,OK. Other than that you don't hear about teaming on crude much.

Was told that the 5th line was given up to get the 24 hour restart. Any truth to that?

Just to clarify, in TX oilfields you get 12 hours of drive time. That is part of the TX oilfield exemption. TX just seems to make their own rules and thumbs their nose at DOT.
