And I get sick of the idiots that continue to make false claims that masks don't work, worse that they are harmful. They are recommended by our best medical minds and the proof is there that they are effective. Are simple and painless to use. If your not going to do it for yourself, then do it for others. I'm sick of this mask debate and the selfishness of others in the name of individual freedom, unable to see the big picture for all, continue to try to make false arguments to rectify their non compliance. And the numbers bear this out, America's failure in fighting this pandemic. It was a war against a virus and we failed to come together to defeat it, losing over half a million of our own.

According to the CDC’s analysis, between March 1 and December 31 last year, statewide mask mandates were in effect in 2,313 of the 3,142 counties in the United States.

And, looking at the county-by-county data, the CDC concludes that mask mandates were associated with an average 1.32% decrease in the growth rates of COVID-19 cases and deaths during the first 100days after the mask policy was implemented.

And yet, the single scientific study on non medical masks state exactly that.
Where is your study that claims otherwise? So far one hasn't been produced.

 

Is not pertinent to the subject at hand. This type of mask wearing was always about protecting others not yourself, as it was intended for. No manufacturer would ever subject themselves to a lawsuit making a false claim.

 

No more than your calling us sheep. I am calm and being logical in my assessment. I have no problem with folks doing research. I do have a problem with making false claims.

 

Please stop, your 0 for 2 with these false misrepresentations already. At least your down to making a claim that masks do have a positive effect.

 

Why didn't anyone ever come up with this idea for smokers to wear a mask so that others weren't effected by 2nd hand smoke?

If you would have read my post as a reply to the comment above it or been following the dialogue of this thread, then you would have understood where I was coming from.

 

Maybe because smoke and water droplets are of a different physical state. Also we can control smoke, just don't smoke. We are unable to control the spread of the virus. (Can't see it)
