Any one know if any of the companies in Texas are looking for veterans with a cdl a license in hand but without the multiyear experience they all seem to require hauling. I have been driving for Melton for the last few months and I cant really say anything bad about the company but 800 miles a week and the usual sit from Friday to Monday are not cutting it these days. I have all my endorsements just waiting on the great ( Anti-responsible gun owner Pro criminal to carry guns) New York state to do my hazmat fingerprints. Any info will be great u can pm me or just throw it on here.

Yea, theres quite a few that will hire without experience.
Sunoco Logistics @ www.sunocologistics.com haul crude. Only need your hazmat and tanker but will hire you without it as long as you can get it. Takes about 2 to 3 weeks to call you back though. Yards mostly in west texas.
Occidental Petroleum www.oxy.com pretty much the same as Sunoco bigger company though.
Stallion Oilfield Services www.stallionoilfield.com I think its water hauling or crude im not sure though. But they do hire new. West Texas
JC Fodale Energy Services 888-336-3253 recruiter number also www.jcfodale.com They are based in South Texas mostly in and around I 35 and I 37. I believe its water hauling or mud hauling.
BTW these companies will hire you without hazmat as long as you can get it.
Shale Tank Truck www.shaletanktruck.com water hauling. Just need tanker end. They are based around south texas. From what ive heard though, they are slowing down for now, but idk different yards are different as most of these outfits have a place along the eagle ford shale.getottahere, sanook, cooley and 1 other person Thank this. -
What kinda pay are these companies offering? I currently own/op my own 1 truck car hauling business out in SoCal, but have heard that oilfield work pays well. Just retired from the Marine Corps and have all my endorsements except passenger.

I'm pretty sure QC hires OO's....they seem to have a few OTR sleeper tractors pulling tankers so I'm guessing they're OO's.

I only gotta single axle, so I doubt they'd want my little truck

I applied to all the companies that were suggested and I did get a call back for a interview in George west TX next week so hopefully I will be reading to do the oil thing. so applying online does work and while I'm in TX next week I will go to other yards and try to sell my very particular set of skills to them.
