I bought that same radio in September 2006. Texas Ranger RCI-6900F25/150. I paid $599.86 w/tax. So, you'd be getting it half-priced.

I found Ranger 6900 F/150 on a website for $489.95. I thought they probably came down since 2006. Also, Ranger does have a 400W radio, the Ranger 63FFCY, but 150W is as high as the 6900 goes. His may have been modified somehow.

 

The 6900-150 Turbo I had was pretty descent RMS average watts about 110. Good size radio heavy weight wise. Earlier versions of this 12 band PLL design weren't good in the sideband mode of operation but RCI got the bugs worked out by the time this radio hit the market. Now running the newer RCI 63FF2 chrome version w/blue leds & channel display. This one does a little more output than the RCI 6900, but I had a different tech tuned the 63FF2, this ones better.

 

There are already fuses inline with the newer power cords right from the factory, fast blow blade, both on the postive and negative..

I have talked to people with this radio. They always sound good and loud!!!

 

Speaking of the Ranger 6900 F150, generally considered to be a quality radio. So, why does Ranger Communications, in the Owner's Manual give all gain figures as xdb, which from what I have learned from the various forums means nothing, as opposed to xdbi, or xdbd?
