Company claims to be a family environment but is the furthest from the truth. I signed up for the lease purchase program and for the first 4 weeks I made money, after that the truck was in the shop or at Freightliner more than it saw the road. They gave me a loaner that had more problems than my original truck (ended up dumping fuel all over the interstate). When you bring up you need a load they sit you, when you say you wanna go home they suddenly have Houston to Ohio, when you tell them you need to speak to someone above them they hang up. Honestly, only people who cared about what was happening to drivers was Payroll and Safety, they truly did care about our plight, but Operations, especially Tim Dablemont and Karen Anderson, could care less for us. To top this off, you walk into the terminal and it gives off a feeling of being back in high school, because there's more rumors flying around that place than a high school locker room of who talks to who and who does what. Just step behind your DM and you'll see him busy posting ######## on Fakebook but couldn't take 2 minutes to send you a decent load.
Let's top this off with what they call "professionalism". They say it us unprofessional to quit at moments notice after you have taken all you can take, but you have an office worker come up to you and tell you another office worker is a "slut" and that is very professional to them. IMO, Texas Star is NOT the same company I was told about back in 2005, Epes Carriers should be ashamed to own them, even in my time at Swift I was treated with more respect and more class than I was at Wendy Williams Express. I really do hope that the good ones there (Jill S., Martha R., Kendra R., Yessica A., Becky T., and Yolanda G.) move from there before that place takes them under when it sinks like the Titanic, cus I can see a lawsuit coming and its gonna act like an iceberg...
Texas Star Express - NOT WORTH A ####!!!
