Anyone know the deal with the Sam Houston Parkway? Are we OK to go through the elect tolls if no cash lane is open? Sorry if this has been gone over before, I couldn't find anything on it.

I don't think using the beltway is that easy, I think you have to have a certain pass to even go on that road, because they don't accept cash

Sam Houston Tollway in the Houston area uses the EZ tag and if you do not have one which Ii know prime doesn't if you run through the EZ tag lanes it will snap a picture of plate and send to company

Right, that's what I'm asking......is Prime ok with that or do they not want us to use it?

If you're company and it's on the "authorized routing" they send with the load you'll probably be alright. Otherwise I'd let you FM know what happened before anything gets back to Prime.

Yeah EZ Tag isn't the same as E-ZPass. Someone posted about getting stopped at a EZ Tag toll booth and them wanting money from the driver for a trip someone else took with the trailer they had. :) Most of the exits are for electronic payment but there are a couple plazas that take cash.

Sorry I've never asked, I just don't use TX toll roads.

I took the toll route in houston once; I didn't have cash so I called them up and gave them a card to charge. I didn't submit that receipt as I had just left my 90 and the plan was to take a reset there. Since I wasn't under dispatch I didn't bother.

"Someone who isn't me" may have taken other toll roads in Texas without a ez tag/tx tag/whatever they call it and never had a problem, but I wouldn't recommend it. (the ones in austin and dallas, specifically) ;)
