    Today is not the only day you can make a big turkey dinner. I do it often.
    Any home time will do, and my sister will make some great turkey soup for my next couple trips home.

    A holiday is just another day in the scheme of things.
    We make our own holidays when we have the chance to do so.
    The official date is a moot point as far as I am concerned.

    Sarcastic humor is not lost on/with me; however:
    I have a friend that actually did the "drop frozen turkey into boiling oil" trick. He almost died, years of painful skin grafts and transplants from butt cheeks, back of thighs, etc. w/sketchy results. Horrible.
