For you maybe but you don’t know the other guy’s story. Maybe he’s needing a new roof or saving for a house or just blew up his minivan engine. In that same retrospect someone who’s working 40 hours a week Monday- Friday could say to you that you should be able to make enough in 40 hours.

And as for a company running a guy into the ground if the hours were increased… He deserves it. If you don’t have the backbone to stand up for yourself get out of the industry and go sell beds. Don’t wait for the government to protect you.

I personally would rather run 4 weeks straight and then take a full week or 10 days off. I think if a guy could eliminate resets on the road it would make for better home time. But again, make it the driver’s choice. Some guys hit 70 hours and absolutely need that 36 off, some guys could do a month and enjoy their time off where they want.

Who did the "study"? The fact is that if the speed freaks and other pill heads didn't cause massive fatal wrecks, and of course the spineless "drivers" had the guts to tell their masters "NO", the ELDs would have never been a thing. The drivers as usual are their own worst enemies.. and actually BEGGED for the government to come save them from the evil companies and shippers.. They had the power all the time.. but they were and are still cowards.. and the government came in and saved them.. LOL!!!! enjoy!
