There's no shortage of those companies if there's no shortage of drivers. Drivers quit because the lifestyle is too tough for them, or it's not a fit.

It's been nearly 5 years since the mandate, and the fact that people are still mad about it is baffling. Elds make trucking so much easier. One less thing to worry about on the road.

One of the main pushers of eld was the ata with their constant lobbying of congress. Some folks don’t buy the safety thing as much as the ata trying to kill the O/O competition. Many older guys bailed when the mandate hit. I have tried to help some of the guys understand how to use the tablets, allot of them got frustrated and retired.

Justt like now, the ata cries shortage. Anything from changing and treating folks like adult’s should be treated. I rarely hear of how the ata changes the industry to improve the compensation and freedom of their workers. Always just the opposite.

The ATA has been crying driver shortage since before I started driving in the mid 90s. And will still be saying the same thing 10 years from now. Their business plan is to run as many as they can through training, then get as much time out of them while not paying squat before they quit.
