I don't totally disagree with you about the money aspect but what might be enough money is the questionable line in the sand .. I don't care to have somebody draw a line in the sandbox and tell me not to cross it.. because I will cross that line every chance I get especially if there's some cash on the other side of the line.. I try to tread lightly in this discussion.. because this old dog ain't in this fight.. lol
My flea bite'n tick riddled arse sleeps under the neighbor's porch and has a longer leash
Thanks a pantload for the driver shortage, ELD huggers

Not like those ELDs are helping much. Chicagoland Volvo mafia just use shady eld software from other side of the globe that allows the truck company to phone in and request corrections to the on duty and driving times. Drivers still driving tired. Issue is HOS really. Also drivers allowing theirselves to drive tired. Driving tired is like driving drunk.

After 15 years in the oilfield, 70 hours isn't even worth getting dressed. I see 98 hours wasted. Knock off 40 for sleep and showers, and that's still 58 hours of lost productivity. We're not all created equal, or at the same stage in our lives, and I sure don't subscribe to the likes of r/antiwork ideals. When I'm running, I want to run.RunningAces, sealevel, Gearjammin' Penguin and 3 others Thank this. -
Speed limits and hos are not for the people who have a brain. They're for the idiots. So you can follow them or work in oil field. Either way. 70 is still plenty of time to make plenty of money.jdchet and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
