well i was down in VA on my to TN , i was at the pilot there at the 213 on 81, and i fuel up and ran inside to get a bite to eat....
i parked in the middle on a corner, so trucks were coming and going around me no problem...
so i came back out and got back in the truck took my jacket off and put back in the sleeper and as soon as a sat down all i see is swifty trailer....whammy right on my drivers side headlight area....
i guess he forgot he had a trailer behind, because the trailer tamdens didnt "nip" me , right behind the landing gear hit me, he must have seen it at the last second cause it didnt do alot of damage.
i herd the truck but didnt think nothing of if being close, and i looked up and grabbed the air horn, but it was to late
its probley the least amount of damage possiable when a truck hits another...
sucks cause i love having a nice looking truck, now it has this

Thanks Swift

Swifty has struck again!
It must have been one of their brain-dead trainees.
Freebird135 Thanks this. -
Geez, thats nice. Hope your company lets you get it fixed.
-
they might get it fixed, its not terriable it could have been alot worse
yeah he was young(this coming from a guy who will be 22 in 2 weeks)
he looked dead tired, probley hasent been driving that long, i told him not to forget the 53ft wagon behind him
he would have almost hit me if he was bobtailing, you can see his truck in the reflection of my fender, he had just backed off of my fender
the trailer didnt have a chance to clear , it was like he didnt even see me -
I'd say your lucky it didn't do more than that, good thing the air horn got his attention and he stopped. Maybe they are trained to slam on the brakes at the sound of a horn, since most are always on the verge of hitting something anyway.

Is that the Pilot below White's in Raphine? If so I know it all too well, first off that's the one where you have to park off the property and use the canpoy tunnel to get to the pilot, and second there is almost no room to move so you really have to be on your game in there. The swiftys usually stick to the access road leading into it since they can't back into a hole properly. Glad to see your damage was just a fiberglass boo-boo, that could've been way worse in there.

i wouldnt go to pilot if my company had a fuel card with them...
but to be honest the pilot at the 150 is even worse there are maybe 8 parking spots, 5 fuel islands, you might be able to get 15 trucks in there all together
this one is so small there is no backing in, its 8 pull in spots -
I always hated goin to that one! There is always some moron on the cb running their mouth at trucks as they come in! I try to avoid that one especially!
-
not on my radio
yeah i had the same thing, im trying to pull in and there was a Crete and someone else waiting on a fuel island, yes two trucks and the lot is full
and i didnt want to try and jump in front of them, cause i wasent getting fuel, i just had to go 10-200and before i could warn crete i was coming around, someone behind me was running his mouth...
Northernblue Thanks this. -
I usaully have them parked on the cb running their mouth. One time i went in there and some schneider driver was on the cb talkin bout everyone coming in there. It was cloudy that day and i had on my shades--sensitive eyes here. Well he proceeds to say "wonder why idiots feel the need to wear shades on a cloudy day" and i politely told him if he was doin his job running his miles he wouldnt have time to worry about what i was or wasnt wearing. I just hate goin to that pilot--friggen idiots are usually in there!
