I have been here for a short time, asking questions about CR England, and my personal red flags that would prevent me from getting a job as a trucker.

I just wanted to take this time to thank everyone for the input given.

Although CR England has accepted me into their school, I decided to pass and enroll into an EMT school.

This will give me a better education to support my family, and its 75% less than CDL training.

I wish everyone a safe and happy trip out there!

    48Packard and BigJohn54 Thank this.

Good luck, but you mention in another thread you have a DUI. With that being said you need to check with the state of CA to see if you will be able to obtain an EMT certification with that on your record.

You are a smart man! You took the time to thoroughly do your research and found it best to opt on a different path. I think you will be much better off with your choice due to your family situation. Good luck to you on your endeavor. You never know maybe down the road when the kids are grown you and the lady might decide to get into trucking together. Best wishes man!

    Thank you. Same to you!

Thank you. I've been a trucker before, I know where it could land.
I haven't done anything first aid related, so I hope it will take me places more financially stable for my family.

My bro-in-law is a paramedic, and he just bought a $300K house in Sunny San Diego!

Must start as an EMT and have 8 months experience before I can go to paramedic school.

    Thank you.
    Good luck to you too!

For sure. Its more of a tool I want to use and have for anything I see. We all witnessed accident scenes on the highway. I feel helpless sometimes.
