I've got some other possibilities come 2013, but truck driving has always interested me. My main concern? Keeping in shape. I'm talking weight training. I have a short olympic bar and some plates I can fit in MY truck. However, I don't know what I would do during training.

I guess that besides regular mileage, one can get all types of bonuses for gas savings and all.

I'll have to submit my application and see.

Don't do it, not prime, You'll wish you hadn't. They'll just cost you money and the loads are cheap. I would say their like a cheap land salesman from the Florida everglades (or the swamp, depending on where you live in the country) they'll take you out to see your investment, their sellin it hard too, as you gaze over the waterfront property(lol) they'll tell you their building this beautiful dock on the property FOR YOU because they care. And you look over towards the water and the guy say "we've just finished all of the underwater construction" .....you sign.....get your truck....believe in the dream.....and BAM, ...YOU REALISE, THERE WAS NEVER GONNA BE A DOCK, THIS IS BS.......FYI I was paying $900.00 PER WEEK for a 2010 pete that got 6 miles to the gallon and was given no choice because after you go to orientation, spend weeks with a dirty trainer to get back to get your truck your told....."We're not getting any new trucks right now and this is all we have"......Yeah buy that waterfront property BS if you want, you'll waste your time, don't drink the coolade.

What are you guys talking about? I'm wanting to be a company driver. Not lease or O/O. I know how hard it would be to make money leasing when many of the expenses will be shifted to the driver. Now way.

Why yes I believe I have worked for prime..........unfortunately for me #### near free! Look man (Silenteagle) you guys with prime really need to do your homework with this company before you start cheering for their team, don't take my opinion because like they say..........But call or e-mail Kevin Rutherford which happens to be one of the smartest business man in this industry from equipt. to Logistics to just flat out good business sense, tell him how much your paying for your truck and pretty much all your numbers and believe me he'll not only tell you your being takin advantage of but will tell you to RUN away not walk and get out as soon as possible. I'm not hatin i'm just stating the facts, their in the business to make money and your providing not only that but paying off their equipment also, but your grown men and you'll live with your decisions. I didn't listen either when I was thinking of going with them because I wanted a pretty truck also but after you commit you see the game for what it is and you start to talk to well established people in the industry and reality starts to set it. But look if your happy that's all that really matters doesn't it, I wish you all well and hope you do well

Did you opt to enter into a lease arrangement with the leasing company at PRIME, I think it's called Success Leasing or something or another? Do you feel this decision was the primary mistake, or just working with PRIME as a company driver. Do you think things would have turned out better had you ran company for a year?
