If you can get on the dock and talk to the loader, most will load it the way you want ... if not, well it is what it is.

In my case, single in the nose, when possible. A lot of them understand, when I say, load it like a reefer. Slide tandems, so rear tires are even with rear of load, maybe a little further if it’s real heavy. No Need to scale. I haul heavy, mostly. Might scale 4-5 times a year. When it just doesn’t ride right, or if it’s an uneven load.

We only had one 53’ refer in our small fleet. Unfortunately I got stuck with it when my assigned trailer needed maintenance.
Showed up to a shipper, they saw I had a 53‘ and decided to add pallets. I inquired about the extra freight fee. No dice take it or leave it. It was a Sysco load from Chicago to orlando.
