11 4K pound pallets. Would you rather have them all centered done the trailer or split into two groups?
We were having Problems getting flatbeds to haul stone from Oklahoma to Missouri, so we started to use dry vans. They usually came in split into two groups.Last edited: Oct 2, 2020
Dave_in_AZ, MACK E-6 and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
How many pallets and in what order do I load them in in this trailer??
-
Flatbedders do it all the time. Half the load up front half at the back. Easier on the equipment since the load is not all centered in the middleMACK E-6 Thanks this.

I noticed seven axles....What are you puttin in that tube.
-
Yes sir. Been through Montana a lot, mostly Washington and Oregon tho.D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

8 axles on this setup. 62,000 pounds of 50% sodium hydroxide solution. 4900 gallons in a 7200 gallon tube. It is 2 compartments but each one is smooth bore. 32,000 pounds in the front 30,0000 in the back. Gets interesting if you forget you’re hauling liquid.

It could be possible he meant 8 feet between ALL the skids, in which case you'd need a trailer 200 feet long.

D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Are there loading docks at both ends here, or does someone somewhere have to move those monsters with a pallet jack?
