The Slice might be bad. Plug to the Tablet and see if it charges better. Wrap the loose end of the cord around the bracket to lessen the stress on the plug.

Yes you can keep it on the Magnetic base, this is what holds the tablet to the suction cup assy.

Everything working great last two day didn't shut off all day at end of day still shows 100 percent

 

Contact RM Customer Support and ask them to send you another Slice. The one you have has a bad USB Port.

Is there anyway I can tell if I have the latest update on my TND80 ?

I just bought it from the store yesterday hooked it to WiFi and it didn't ask to update or anything.

I find it curious there is no update needed right out of the box. I registered it and all and set it up.
