The 8 inch rand McNally tablet

Lol. They don't send out brand new units. They are either refurbished or reconditioned.

 

I bought one at pilot no to say they have any liability on anything....it didn't work. I returned it got another one. That worked for 20 days. They are a delicate tablet and too much stuff in it. if anything goes wrong everything turns off. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

 

I bought one and can confirm that it's garbage. Wont hold a charge, routing sucks.

I have TND720 for 5 years love it never let me down, in May purchase the TNDB80B the biggest piece of junk I ever spend money on $683,00 dollars so unreliable it make you sick since may it hasn't stay on from point A to point B my route is the same everyday 604 km anywhere from 240 k through 420 k it will freeze the end of the day for that piece of junk and because of the love of Rand Mcnally GPS I didn't read any review I wish I had I email Rand twice of course no reply it's beyond me no sevice after the sales yea right Donald Trump buy American that will not happen just went out two week ago and bought a Honda Civic also bought a new GPS a xGody X4 9" one amazing GPS for trucker $78.00 trully amazing.

 

Nothing but problems. Doesn’t work. RM sent a new magnetic mount and power cable to supposedly fix glitches. HA HA!! Still glitches, in operable. Dozens of hours now spent wth PI support email exchanges. I think RM must PAY for positive reviews. $450. dash ornament. Use google maps. Look at signs and the streets to stay out of trouble

 

Hey mark ive followed these instructions for my overdryve 8pro and still say no legal route found could you help

 

I found the secret to getting my RM Overdryve to stay stuck to the magnets. I just stick the suction cup to the window but don't push the lever that tightens it up. All the bounce gets dealt with at the suction cup and the tablet then does not fall off the magnets. If the lever gets pushed, it tightens it up solid with the windshield and then it bumps too much and knocks the tablet off the magnets.

I rely heavily on the RM Overdryve. In particular ETA is really good. One can put several days worth of locations in and it will give a solid drive time. In future versions I wish they would have a screen that shows ETA for each stop. If the drive time it gives turns out to be too fast or slow for the speed of ones truck, there are two clicks faster and two clicks slower one can pick in the settings to get it as close as possible.

Are you still mentoring us poor guys who bought these tndt80b paperweights? Mine has croaked, did the reset following your directions and then following post 388(I think that is right number) attempted to do the self reset. It failed if I go to "validate current configuration" there are 100 files missing. Check for updates only finds a 4.2m file, and RM services shuts down when you ask it to download. I am on strong wifi at home. It apparently deletes all the old data and reloads but part of your instructions do not appear on opening of reload, it goes directly to setup and I never see the part about"Agree to location consent.

All the maps are missing on "Motor Carrier Road Atlas" also. Blank

 

It is firmware version v1.2 and build number LVY48E.20160730 test-keys. Following RM online instructions I cannot update that via tethering to computer, it just fails to connect. Tried 3 different computers all running different OS(all windoze 7 or abov) and it can be accessed ia the file explorer but downloaded software from RM does not recognize the device

 

He hasn't been seen here since December 2018
