You'll have to be more specific. There are probably 15 tractors there with numbers holding their bumpers on.

6 Speed and mickimause Thank this.

Passenger side batwing is gone (it was gone when I got the truck. I have photographic proof!!)
It's orange...must be the only orange truck on SNI's fleet ;) and there is a green & gold dragon on the driver's side dashboard. And I am not at Carlisle anymore. ;D

I don't think I rolled out of the sleeper until about 2pm today, so I'm sure you were long gone by the time I woke up mickimause - but on the off chance that you were still there, sorry I missed you! I didn't see any orange trucks with bumpers held on by bungee cords, though, at least on the front row.

I grabbed my load from York, PA and brought it down to Richmond, VA tonight. What a mess going around the DC area was. Last time I ran this route I looked over from I-95 south and saw Abilene running in the express lane, hauling *** past everyone else, including myself, sitting in traffic in the regular lanes. I got on the CB and talked to him before he got out of range and he said he'd been running it that way for a long time, as long as the sign says "open to all traffic" there was no indication you couldn't.

I almost didn't have the guts to try it, but as soon as I was about to have to exit right on to the regular 95 south lanes, I saw the sign way over on the left with OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC written on it. I couldn't help it, so I somehow managed to work across 5 lanes of traffic before the ramp and got in the express lanes. It was friggin hilarious looking over at all the other traffic doing about 4MPH and I'm over there running 55-65 for a good part of the express lanes.

Eventually though a sign comes up that says "ALL TRUCKS MUST EXIT NEXT RIGHT" which dumps you back into the regular lanes before the scales. After that it was back to sitting in traffic again. I'm guessing its the start of spring break and everyone is headed south to the beach?

Just got to Richmond and dropped my load and there is one empty here but there is another companies trailer blocking it. Gonna play by the rules and not move it, and just wait and see what the response to the exception I send in is. If its a good one along my route, I'll enjoy the fuel savings of bobtail. If its a bad one, I'll check back in in the morning and see if they have someone there that might move that other trailer for me.

Tomorrow pickup in VA and head south and spend the night at the Charlotte OC, then down to GA, then have another preassignment to bring me back up to NC again. Gonna have to see what my hours are looking like at that point and it'll either be home for a restart or keep on moving if I can.

I was sliding tandems, getting ready to roll, at 2. Was already loaded and everything :) Sorry I missed you, too. Was that your truck with the white hat on the dash?

Nope I was parked immediately to the left of the gate right next to the coned-off area for HV drops as soon as you come in the oc.

Got to the Charlotte OC tonight. Messed around with my Cummins tool and enabled the cruise/jake brake interaction on my truck. I missed having the auto-jake like on my DD15 Cascadia. Will see tomorrow if it works. Wanted to test it on my own truck on the off chance this tool fries ECMs before I try it on someone else's LOL.

If I'm reading correctly, everybody knew I was coming to Carlisle and left?! That sucks....

Really I am laughing hysterically. Glad you are testing it on your stuff first. If it works well, I will let you hook it up to mine. I hope it does, I really miss having the jake and cruise work together. It is a royal PITA to disengage the cruise to slow down just a little bit. Will be nice to have that function back.

I was watching my instant mpg info after we talked and noticed that as long as I was on semi flat ground with the cruise set at 70, I was still getting around 7 mpg. The hills are absolutely killing the mpg's though. I think that gear set and mpg you get with it will destroy my mpg in the hills. I guess it's a balanced trade off.

Don't think I am going to be getting through Charlotte. I managed to find a load out of Albany that I can off load before the cut off, had to take it. We will meet up soon so we can play with your Cummins tool.

I think going 70mph is killing your mileage. I don't think my truck has ever gone over 65. For me going 60 mph doesn't wear me out at the end of the day. I book my own loads, so I'm not in a hurry to get there. I still get 2800 to 3000 miles a week driving 60.
