Still looking for the next load I want to pick up in Texas. Having a little trouble right now, seems to be awfully quiet. Not sure how far ahead you have to book your loads down there. I've heard that many don't confirm until the day before/day of. I'd almost like to go to Laredo just to say I've been there, so I may try to find even just a break-even load to get me down there, then get something decent to get me out. However, having just come off a restart I'd like to keep moving with good loads if I can. Just have to see how it plays out.

mickimause, Drifter42 and Wheelwell Thank this.

Bro....last week I ran to Dallas, then Phoenix, then Salt Lake City and now I'm in Wyoming headed to Jersey.
What a week and what a drive. Try it, you won't regret it. (probably won't do it again, but, hey at least I did it once).

    Lonesome Thanks this.

I have heard Laredo is rough for I/C's to get a good load out of. DFO, if you do go down there, don't bother with PFJ @ xt331 on I35, go to xt328

    dieselfuelonly and Wheelwell Thank this.

Is the OC worth stopping at?

I prefer the oc over those crazy truck stops. Plus loads come out of oc so your right there.

    EggoTrucker Thanks this.

yeah....amen to that in Laredo. I typically NEVER stay at an OC, but I will in Laredo or I'll get my arse out of town. The little gas station around the corner / fence has some pretty good food too.

    EggoTrucker Thanks this.

it's a lot like the George Washington bridge and the hell that comes immediately afterwards, except this time image everyone is jacked up on meth and driving a stolen truck........good times, DFO, goooooood times

Yeah those truckstops at exit 12 are complete madness. I just go to the oc when I'm there.
