Well everyone took my road test today to make sure I could continue on with my training for Schneider Bulk Divion, head out with TE on Monday, still really looking forward to getting my year done with them and debating if i want to switch to dry van for a little bit then do IC or just do O/O Bulk Division, anyone got any opinions on that? would really help what y'all think, also DFO keep on trucking and doing great job with what your doing.

Best answer I can give is do at least 1 year as a company driver and see if you like otr and get the feel of the ins and outs of the business, freight lanes etc.and then take it from there. Good luck with your new adventure.

We have delivered as late as 9 pm and still get it in the check. Also they don't have to have the paper to submit it. We sometimes transflo 6 or 7 trips at a time after we have already been paid. Someone is jacking you around. They told us in training it gets submitted as soon as you deliver unless it says something in the special notes. (Some of the Laredo loads won't pay w/o paperwork). Raise hell !!

Oh, and a special note to anyone who might want to know - there is no requirement in our lease that we must stay running with Schneider. SFI told me directly today that I can transfer to another carrier at any time as long as they approve that carrier as paying high enough rates to be able to cover the truck note and expenses.[/QUOTE]

Did they mention that you need at least two months payments to give them before you can go? Or is that just another rumor? Sounds legit.

The lady who actually sold me my truck told me that I'd need to have 2 to 3 weeks of expenses set back because it takes that long on average to switch to a new company, get running, and get your first check.

Thats what I thought. This past Monday, I delivered at about 10:40pm. It should've gone in. I can't keep doing this $0 this week, big check next week stuff, especially when I can't plan ahead for it.

You sir, get a cookie for a very goood answer.

In THEORY pay goes in automatically once the shipment completes, but if there are any issues in WF (ie work tasks not done in order, PU MT task issues, etc) your DBL/ICA has to go thru it and straighten things out before the load will pay.

So tell you ICA to stop yakking at the water cooler and start tapping away at the $%$&#&@*$ computer allready.

I have a dumb question lol.. When a new L/O comes to orientation, if your truck is still at the shop for whatever reason until toward the end of orientation do you take the road test then or do you use a company truck for it? Sounds dumb I know, I was just curious.

I would also raise hell about the late fees you talked about. If there's something screwy on their end that causes a problem, it should be on them. Try to get that money back.
