After trying to track down filters for the TriPac from auto parts stores I gave up and just went back to Greensboro (for approximately the 18th time this week) to ThermoKing and bought the filter kit. It came with ALL the filters, primary fuel filter, oil filter, air filter, cabin air filter, inline fuel filter, etc. etc. $90 bucks for the kit. Probably could have pieced it together cheaper but for the time it took to grab it and go it was easy. Nice people out there at the TK in Greensboro. They also do truck PMs there as well apparently, their prices were pretty good. With the TK brand filters they recommend a 1000 hour service interval on the TriPac too, which is better than the 500 hour interval they say when using aftermarket filters. Probably a bit of a money grab to get them to come to TK, but hey, since I would be getting the filters from them anyway, its nice to see the longer service interval recommended straight from the guys that know them in and out.

Of course I got home, was ready to pound out the service on it in about 30 minutes, and as soon as I finish draining the oil and putting the new oil filter on, it starts dumping rain, LOL. So, gotta wait it out now.

Really easy to work on the TriPac. I would highly recommend to anyone that they do their own maintenance on it, its not a difficult job and it only costs a little bit of money and your time, compared to setting up an appointment and paying what I think was $290 at ThermoKing to have them service it for you. Anyway, will finish that up later when I get a break from the rain. Got 2 loads preassigned, I'll be leaving out on Wednesday.

Yes,all you need is an inline filter that has a 1/4 or 5/16 inlet and outlet. I get mine at auto zone for $5.99 lasts about 4 months depending fuel quality. It.s like a fuel/water separator. Part # FF3510DL.
