    actually, you kinda need to wrap it in something (soup doesn't work real well straight out of the stove), but, that said, after a real long day, and you don't feel like foolin' with much or there's not much to eat, a burrito wrapped in tin foil or a paper towel will get the job done. Like Moose and another guy said, you can buy the little pans at walmart for soup and stuff (they're just not the correct size.....too small);
    But, it's the best investment I've ever made. The only thing bad about it that I see, is to get the proper pans, they're like a buck a piece at the truck stop.......but you can buy smaller pans at walmart and work with it.

    I am sorry but I am going to play stupid. Where do you get these lunch box cookers and how do they work? Are they the things I have seen at the truck stops?

    Just so you guys get an idea of how I cook in the stove, here are 2 pics of meals I cooked in them last time out.

    Chicken Alfredo

    Beef and Broccoli with Vegetable Fried Rice

    I use the foil because it heats faster than the bread pans and it is much simpler to fold up some foil and toss in the trash than dealing with the pans. I cook soup and everything else in the stove and have never had an issue.

    Lol, years of practice. Just kidding, my wife came up with the idea on how to cook like that in the stove. And yes, both meals were very tasty.

    I got a really good inverter I don't think I'm going to need. Pretty sure my new truck will come with one. Real good cables, monster inline fuse all complete.
