Go to Chickenwing's thread for the update. Chickenwing quit Schneider for a better deal.

Hello all...Have been following this thread and others concerning the Choice program for IC's and would like to thank you for the priceless knowledge that you so freely share. Not only entertaining but a great help!!

Is this a reasonable possible scenario for a yearly business plan/budget for the choice program with Schneider?

Annual goal is to run 100,000 miles (I know a daily budget may be more accurate, but for simplicity sake)

Fuel at 6.5 mpg ($4.00/gal) = $61,538.46 (Fuel discount would be huge here)
    Insurance/Maintenance fund etc = $18,000.00 ??
    Used truck payment $1500/mo = $18,000.00

    Total yearly expenses $97,538.46

Gross to truck at average $1.60/mile = $160,000.00

    $160,000.00
    -$97,538.46

    $62,461.54 Net

I know this is basic but does the math look right to you guys? Forgetting anything major besides cheese burgers:)

Is it possible to be picky enough not to move your truck for less than say $1.80/mi and still gross $180,000.00 a year from what is available on the load board if you stay in a good freight lane?

I have heard from some that there are high paying short runs but that their delivery window takes more than one day. Curious if you can gross a reasonable year on just those considering you won't be eating so much fuel. Thanks! You guys ROCK!!
