One thing about buying the truck you are in now is that you know all the ins and outs of it by now and it would be taking a huge risk, but if you put back say 1k per week for maint., in about 4 months or so you would have enough to cover just about anything that could go wrong with it. It's just making it through that time without an issue. Anyway I'm sure SFI would work out some kind of deal for you. Just a thought.

might want to look around locally.......I saw an '07 Pete advertised on a flyer at Cash's Truckstop and Casino for a really right price. The dealers are gonna jack up the price on ya.
Best advice I can give you is to wait for the opportunity. It took me about 52 years to figure out that when you try to force something, it never works out right. Wait for your opportunity, and it will present itself to you....trust me

So why a W900? I drove a pete 379 and it was fun, but I had a hard time figuring out the stigmata behind it. It was loud, buzzy, whistely and had less room and turned like a barge.

Why do u want such a heavy truck, larger turning radius? Less storage, and noisy as all heck inside? I thought you where concerned with fuel? Going to b tough play in the frito lay lots.

Well I guess I could try to justify why I like a certain truck to everyone and half the people out there wouldn't understand. I got my reasons, lol.

Well interesting news the original N14 W900 may be meant to be after all. Gonna go pick it up today and drop it off at Cummins to get dynoed and then if that checks out tomorrow will take it to Kenworth to get the rest of it looked over. Gotta just see how it all turns out.
