I talked with the little dealer and he wrote me a permit through Monday for the truck, so I took it to Cummins today and dropped it off to be dynoed tonight hopefully. Useless Cummins shop always has uses the "we're backed up" excuse. Who knows if it will get done or not. Hopefully it will. If so then tomorrow I will take it to Kenworth and let them give me a second opinion on the rest of the truck. Hopefully good news and it will be in the driveway this weekend. But we will see, we all know how it can go...

Keeping fingers crossed for you as well. It'll work out like it's supposed to, though, and I think you know that already.

Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you!! ;)

Bad news, just woke up to the phone call from Cummins. They found the oil pressure was below minimum spec during the dyno and they believe some fuel in the coolant. They think maybe injector cups but the design and material of the cups has been updated and it would need to have the updated head put on for the new cups. Regardless, not a project I'm looking at getting in to. Too bad but that's why I got it done to find any issues like that before I bought it.

I'm glad your taking baby steps.. New or use trucks is a crap shoot. Some people will go through a truck with a fine tooth comb. Then some people will buy a truck for the color, and never have a problem.

Maybe its a sign that this little old Cascadia that has treated me so well is worth hanging on to for a while. Problem is just $$$$$ to pay it off... don't want to blow it all and not have the savings. The other downside is that if I kept this truck, the only way I can see keeping it would be performing deletes. I can't sit here and watch this engine destroy itself over time. Not supposed to discuss them on this forum so that's all I can say about that. When I was on the phone with the tech from Cummins, he said "make sure get something with a N14 because with these new ones (meaning the ISX) EGR just eats them up"... you know its the truth when even the Cummins tech tells you that LOL.
