I'm pretty much set on keeping my Freightliner for a while, honestly out of all the trucks I've looked at, I'd be inheriting too many previous owners' problems. With this truck... I at least know how I have taken care of it over the past year.

Whether or not I keep it in the long run is another question, I'd still really like to have a pre-emissions truck, but it's going to be very hard to find a pre-emissions truck that isn't a project truck at this point. What I may do is hold off until I can find a truck that needs an engine, grab it up for cheap, then go to Cummins and get a "brand new" reman N14 put in, so I'd get off to a fresh start.

mebee find a dealer or a friend that works at a dealership to keep an eye out for a roached truck. I'm sure they hear of them from time to time. But maybe they do the same thing too......their all in cost of a new / rebuilt engine would probably be half that of yours and they could sell it for twice what they paid for it.
Maybe we should have a group project. Everybody that agrees to help, looks at Craigslist in their respective towns for awesome deals on a truck. The winner gets a hug and a free lifetime subscription to the DFO Blog. Just tell us what you want.

There. After an otherwise (rhymes with pity) day, I have been helpful. I am proud of myself.

You're thinking of me lol 2 days off in 4 weeks since I started. That will all change next weekend when I take off 4 or 5 days, unless I see a load I can't resist.
