Brother...PA always has the freight, it's just that it always seems to be in the middle of nowhere, and any way in or out involves a mountain.

Oh yeah its got lots of freight, but you'll gross 79,999 and have to take it to New Jersey LOL.

I see loads to Laredo pop up from time to time... I still haven't been there yet and would like to, although I remember reading in atruckr's thread that getting decent loads out of there can be a bit of a struggle.

I hear ya on the PA mountains, my personal favorite is Mt. Summit on US-40 with the truck speed limit of 10mph on the descent lol.

BTW I saw a red Cascadia headed east on I-24 into Chatanooga, 2 days ago I think, was that you by chance?

I've been to Laredo lots. My experience is lots of loads during the week, due to trailers coming over the border. But weekends are dead.

Saturday morning is alright, but if you don't get out of there by midday Saturday you'll probably be waiting until Monday morning

In Laredo now......have you ever read Dante's Inferno?? If so, you will know what I mean when I say Laredo is the second ring of hell. Excluding Laredo, of course, there are more trucks and trailers here than in all the truckstops in the contiguous 48 combined.....and 3/4 are piloted by our brown brethren form south of the border who both do not care and, more disturbingly, act as though it would be great fun to get into a big truck wreck......just to see what would happen. But, hey, rates is rates......you call, we'll haul.....just gotta pay. But, it could be worse....bad thing is, it's hell waiting on a load to confirm. They have all of these loads....even have a trailer number to go along with it.....but the customs paperwork isn't sorted out just yet, so there they and you sit. My advice is, come to Laredo even if for no other reason than to say you did....honestly, it's worth the trip to witness the madness. BUT, have something booked out before you roll.....and CONFIRMED stuff too....a bunch of that non-confirmed stuff tends to disappear. Also, remember this, it's either Laredo or a 150 mile dead head.....there ain't nothing else close.

On the other, sorry man, I was on 40 westbound out of NC/TN headed to TX 2 days ago.

Man.....at the Pilot now in Laredo.....I feel as though I am getting a lot for my entertainment dollar right now....it's another world, guys. Trust me.

LOL maybe I'll wait until I've got time to burn to come down there for the entertainment... lol. Just got to Carlisle, will be here for the night, deliver in York tomorrow, then (THANK GOD) I found a load that'll get me the heck out of here back down to NC. The good? 5k lbs. The bad? Only pays about 1.20 a mile. But, the load up here paid around 1.80/mile (again, this is just load board calculations, so a little less in actuality) from GA, so it'll even out nicely, and its a quick trip down to NC. I need to get my IFTA stickers from the house and then will either reset or keep on rolling depending on loads/hours.

Cheeseburger report from Carlisle - not bad. Fries... CRAP.

Easiest way to figure it, it total miles for the round trip. If you ran more miles on the big side than you did on the little side, you came out.

    trip 1.....400 miles at $1.80
    trip 2.....200 miles at $1.20
    ----------------------------
    total.....600 miles at $1.60

BTW, there's a pizza place that delivers to Carlisle that, while not rocks, is pretty good
