Thats what I do all the time. When I got to the dallas OC tonight, Parking was at a premium. While the 3 guys ahead of me decided to fuel,I went around them and found a spot, dropped and locked the trailer and BT back up to the pumps, fueled and came back and rehooked while the other 3 were still looking for spots. Schneider really needs to address their horrendous OCs. Dallas is just getting ridiculous trying to find parking. Fontana has become really bad. SLC is just a mud filled nightmare.

    I'm a grouchy bugger tonight :(

I'll tell you what they need to fix too at this friggin ocs is the internet... its so slow its totally unusable, and I'm not trying to use netflix or youtube I'm just trying to load up the load board to search for loads and it takes 3 minutes to get to each page. Sure, I can use my cell phone with tethering until two other trucks park next to me and my 4-bar 4G signal drops to 1 bar of roaming. Of course my mobile internet still isn't working because, well, honestly I don't know, I just blame millinecom.

    Anyway... lol.

LONG day, I am worn out. Got live loaded in some tiny place on the outskirts of downtown Charlotte today, frickin small area to get into for the dock but been there done that... felt good to get it in about 2 mins and then get told it took the last guy 15 minutes to get backed up to it, lol. I say that and tomorrow I won't be able to back for crap and make myself look like a day 1 driver.... better shut my mouth before i jinx myself.

Then headed north towards Carlisle hoping to beat the snow, NOPE. Started getting dumped on before I even hit fancy gap, then it was just slow going all the way up until I guess around Winchester when it finally stopped and I put the cruise back on 67 and made it up to Carlisle at about 11pm. Definitely time for new wipers, drivers side is making a mess instead if doing its job, I think that last storm a week ago or so did them in.

On the way up through VA I started smelling brakes, and I mean it was bad. After it didn't disappear for quite a while I started getting worried thinking it was something in my truck on fire, like my laptop battery or my truck electronics itself... but no smoke, truck voltage held a steady 14... wtf. It started to go from a "hot brake" smell to just a "sh*ts on fire yo" smell.

Then I finally catch up to this truck pulling a Wal-Mart trailer and it looked like the 4th of july coming out of his brake drum, keep in mind I had been smelling this thing roasting for literally 15 minutes. I have NEVER seen anything that hot before. By the grace of God he had his CB on and responded to me telling him he had a brake fire and got pulled over. I would have pulled over to help but it was still dumping snow and there was just no where safe for me to stop, especially with nasty road conditions. I saw a firetruck headed south, a few minutes later, but from what I was able to find out from talking on the CB it sounds like the trailer wasn't on fire or anything. Dunno how he missed that show going on in his mirror, but I just hope everything was OK.

Gotta make this delivery some time tomorrow, but don't have anything planned yet and will probably hold off for a bit till I hear about how the roads are down south. In the meantime I'm exhaust and am gonna get some sleep. Anyone gonna be around Carlisle tomorrow?

Hmm guess I'll deliver up here today and then come back to the OC and just hold tight then cause I imagine some good loads will show up on the board headed south once things open up and they start scheduling them.

3 years at Schneider never heard them locking gates at Charlotte, Atlanta, & French camp oc. Charlotte advises drivers to go the pilot ha HA. AND Georgia has chain up law up. Atlanta loop looks demolition Derby

They said Charlotte is now open. Roads got plowed leading into the OC.

Atlanta, well, forget that place exsists for a few days. Wonder if drivers get layover pay being shut in like that?
