Downtown Chicago at 3am is a very stress-free drive. I love driving at night. No one gets in my way LOL.

That is true and you do know that your more likely to have accident at night then during the day. But its cool I was once young I know what your going through. As u get more seasoned and set in your ways you'll see the light. Just remember you have 40 years of this ahead of you. Have fun while your young.

I must be doing it wrong also, but in my 18 years of practice I have found that I prefer the night shift. I hate traffic and 4 wheelers. At night I don't worry about any of the things the day shift has to (traffic, rush hour, qualcomm beeping to death from all the stupid messages, etc...) It is me some other trucks, and the highway. Peaceful if you ask me...

    #### is starting to get real in here! It is nice to not have to deal with idiots when driving at night. However, I prefer driving during the day because if I have any issues, I can call 1st shift instead of dealing with support shaft. Plus, by the time 6 am rolls around, my eyes are burning from all of the concentrating I do without the ambient light of day. It's all preference of how you want to run, where you want to park, and what your natural schedule is.

And I know this because I'm a 3-1/2 month veteran of the highway system! Lol!

I like to drive/work from 3am to 2pm. Best of both worlds.

3am to 2pm I can handle but driving through the night is not for me. I always seem to find those night time road closure for construction zones and get all kinda screwed up!

Well went ahead and booked a load up to VA from GA. Wanted to stay in GA but nothings been showing up that has caught my eye... and I've been looking, lol. So, rather than lose out on a good load, I went ahead and booked it. I had a big deadhead up to my pickup today, so the load that I'm taking down to GA for delivery on the 4th won't make me much profit at all, a little, but not much. But, it'll average out nicely with this good load up to Richmond. Maybe I'll get lucky and another pallet load from Rehrig will show up, lol.

Am I guessing right that the load board doesn't change much on the weekends? I've noticed that everything has looked the same over the last two days...
