Where in Cali you headed. I would drop down and take the I 40 if you can. Avoid those fuel sucking snow bound mountains!

So we had a delivery right next to the Sapp Bros(salt lake city) truck stop the other day and the dispatch said they were 24/7 but after we arrived (and hit arrived) we found no one anywhere on the property. They opened at 8am so were dropped the trailer then. Later that day ICA msg and asked why it took so long to drop. Think we may get detention for that one. Then we took a load up to Vancouver WA, Frito Lay on Saturday and we had a pick up there as well but because of the weather no one had come to work to load our trailer so they said come back Monday. Had to sit in Portland til this morning and we are getting detention for that one too. Now we are headed home to phoenix with this load but we have to go back through Idaho and Utah because the bags have elevation restrictions.

Well we couldn't find another load out anyway and it was already a good payer down to Phoenix so we just hung out at Jubitz for a couple of days. And the detention is $300 so yeah that'll work. 👍

Well after a 4 hour battle to get an empty trailer I finally picked up my load and headed north towards Ohio. They kept trying to send me to Richmond, VA to pick up an empty, thinking I was still there, even though I messaged a total of three (3) times saying "I'M GOING HOME PLEASE UDPATE MY NAL TO @xxxxxx".
Finally sent me out to Kmart/Sears in GBO, 14 emptys available holy crap. I guess they finally unloaded all the products they had sitting in the trailers for the entire month of January (they do this to avoid taxes, right)?
Made it to WV and called it a night at 0130, almost nowhere to park!! Lucked out and found a spot at the second rest area I tried, and I'm glad I did because I was TIRED. Even though I had an extremely late start to my day, I had been up since late morning.
Truck seems to be running good, and is more responsive and pulls a little harder now which is a good sign that my work was not in vain. Not sure about fuel economy yet, only time will tell on that one.
Well, glad to be back out. Kinda. Miss that warm bed at home, lol. But, just gotta get back in the groove! I'll be headed towards Charlotte tomorrow after this delivery, but won't make it there until Wednesday.
Time to get some sleep.Grijon Thanks this. -
