I definitely hope you're right about the maintenance account. If so, my check will be big on the 28th... Managed to gross right at $3800 this week.

I have a 14 Cascadia Evo. Dang nice truck overall.

Guess I never had that talk with my rep, but I had a specific set of things I wanted when I called, and I told her right at the beginning that I was not interested in a brand new truck....

Well, I just looked through all of my SFI paperwork and can't find any reference to that $1,400, but I remember them talking about it. I really hope I just misunderstood what they were saying though. Guess I'll find out on the 28th LOL.

I had the ParkSmart on my truck at my last company. It was okay for the most part. The one on this truck is probably decent, but the heater side of it hasn't worked since I got the truck. Schneider shop wouldn't touch it due to warranty, and I checked in with Freightliner when I got home but they said I would have to wait several days. Couldn't afford to do that. So I've been idling for the most part for the last 3 weeks, aside from a few nights where the temp was nice enough not to idle. Honestly, I like idling... If it only took 2 or 3 gallons a night, I'd always do it. But 70 gallons a week is excessive, and that's assuming only 10 hour breaks, and I've been taking much longer breaks than that to time everything right to maximize my 70.

For instance, I can deliver this load tomorrow anytime between 0800 and 1400, but my next one can't pick up until 1300. My next load is 131 mile deadhead, and this is a live unload of about 2 hours, so I plan to deliver at about 0900. Finish delivery by 1100, get to next pickup slightly after 1300. But my 10 hour break would be up much sooner than 0900, but why start the 14 hour clock and then end up sitting for an hour with nothing to do?

Bring able to use the load board for the last four months has been a huge help for sure. Can't imagine walking into class on Thursday and seeing it for the first time.

They cant just give you the money. So they show it as being paid to you and then deduct it on the first payment then transfer it to the maintence acct. they swore they explaine it to us but no one recalls that. Maybe because we had a big shiney truck. Anyway freaked me out. They have to account for that money. It is a bonus.

I know I remember them discussing it, and I could've sworn I remember them saying we had to pay it back. Either way, I've got it budgeted to be taken out, and if it's not, cool. Maybe they take it back out of the maintenance account or something, I have no idea. Either way ill be ok.

It will look like you are getting paid 1400 extra on your settlement then it's deducted and added to the maintence acct. it's a gift no payback. We have already spent ours we got it in August. You're good!!

OHHH I get it now LOL. Okay, that makes a lot more sense. I was wondering how they expected everyone to cover an extra $1400 on their first check that also has a payment coming out LOL
