    One time a hawk flew into the top part of my windshield. No damage, but it sounded like someone hit the truck with a baseball bat. Scared the hell out of me.

    Can't imagine what the turkey situation was like.

    Leaving Nashville today I saw a dead turkey on the road and then I saw a Hurricane Express truck on shoulder went by and looked at truck drivers side windshield was busted.

    Hegemeister how was the driving test at Charlotte?

    Got my KW back from the shop today. PM, new air filter, steer axle brakes, front drive axle brakes, wheel bearing was bad on of the drives and that took out the seal so got a new wheel bearing too, few other things. $1700 later and shes ready to roll again. This shop isn't the cheapest but they're 20 minutes from home, do good work, usually start on the truck the day after I drop it off, and are nice people, so I'm glad I found that place.

    I try to stay on my night shift schedule when I'm at home, but usually I'll try to shift it a bit so I'm up until late morning/early afternoon so that I can enjoy some "normal-people" hours and do stuff outside. Problem is by that time I'm usually kinda tired since it's the end of my day. Decided to tune-up my riding mower for the season so I ordered the little kit online that comes with everything I need for this old JD. All is going great, fill it back up with oil then realize... I never changed the oil filter. Drain the oil (more on to the garage floor than into the bucket), pull the old filter off, put the new one on, fill it back up... replace the air filter, replace the fuel filter, replace the spark plug, go to start it up... nothing. Crank crank crank no fire. Look in the fuel filter, not much fuel in there so I figure maybe it needs a little help, so I disconnect the line from the carb, get a rag and stick my blow gun from my compressor into the rag and shove it where the fuel cap goes. Give it a few spurts until I push all the air out and get fuel all the way through. Hook it back up... crank crank crank no fire. WTF. Go grab the go-go juice, pull off the air filter housing and give it a few spurts. Crank crank crank no fire. Come on. I just wanted to get this done and go to sleep. Check everything over, spend 10 minutes walking circles around the mower trying to see if I knocked a fuse loose or pulled a wire out or something... nope.

    Then I realized... never hooked the boot back up to the spark plug. Hook it up, fires second revolution, done.

    ****. I'm going to bed.

    Forgot filter, didn't hook up the plug......... Yep, you were tired.

    When you have a load that needs a lumper (ie, C&S York), where does the lumper money come from? Are lumper fees included in the rate you see when you book a load, do you have to pay it out of pocket and SNI reimburses you, or is it simply a matter of calling SNI and they issue the lumper service a Comcheck, EFS check, etc?

    The last option you listed is what happens...

    You call the SNI Lumper line and they issue you an EFS check...

    Easy peasy....
