    Thats ok... I'll divorce LadyK...
Then our two "ex-wives" can have their horses and you and I can drive as a team, make money to give to them! :biggrin_2559:

Today and tomarrow... thats it then off to Fontana for testing.... That is if I can get past my PTI test.... I past my driving tests. They got a couple of "trick" RR Crossings that got me. I know they are not active RR Crossings. The tracks end about 10 ft off the side of the road. But they treat them as active crossings. I am feeling pretty good (somewhat).
Then when I get to Fantana, I get to do it all over again for DOT!

Well at least the tests at the school here in Sac ... the only one left today is if he can lift and carry things. I'm pretty sure he will do well with those :biggrin_25525: He's off on Friday and Saturday then flying (we are paying the difference - didn't want him to have to ride the bus) down to Fontana on Sunday for the start there on Monday.

Really happy for him and can't wait for my turn - but boy will I miss him!! I'm figuring it will be 2-3 months until I get to 'see' him again. I won't be able to start school until the first part of Feb - so 3 weeks into Feb then 5 weeks with a trainer - that makes it into the first part of April - sigh... Now we have had 2-3 WEEK separations before. National Guard and other work related stuff - but not MONTHS!! Thank goodness for Skype/cell phones/internet/e-mail! It's not the same, but a heck of a lot better than a payphone!

I wish him luck! Excellent choice to fly there! There is no way on God's given earth that I would ride a bus! Especially in Cali!

LadyK consider this time away from each other as a pre-break. You are going to be spending many years to come stuck together, #### near literally! Enjoy this little bit of time apart. It's funny, when my wife and I would come home for a few days off we would go our own ways and do our own thing. I love her to death, but love my alone time too!

I will try to look at it that way - I know with how busy I will be that time will fly by - but looking forward always makes it look longer.

It is a gift though - to know each other well enough to be able to give each other space even if you are sitting right next to each other. You and your wife sound similar to K and I - a long time married couple - LOL!

I was just going to say that! You guys sound a lot like us! That's why I know you will do just fine. Besides with the technology nowadays its not like you will be out of touch. Absence makes the heart grow fonder right?:smt008

I am glad we aren't going to have to get by with payphones - done that and got the t-shirt 20+ years ago!! That will help BIG time. I don't know about the absence part - never had to test it - but he's not getting rid of me that easily - I will TRACK HIM DOWN!! <bwahahaha> <evil laugh>

Yeah, it really wasn't that long ago that we were using pay phones. Remember when all the truck stops used to have phones at the tables in the restaurants? Also had phone rooms. I remember the days of entering the numbers on those phone cards. Hell, that's how you used to get all of your loads too! AHhhh, the good ol' days!

What REALLY sucked is not being by the phone when he called - it was usually only once a day he could manage it, but I would get a message on a 'tape machine'... and play that over and over.
