It was always great to get home, but it was so tiring too. It is great to see your grandkids though, they grow up so fast: we would go home once about every 3 mo so middle grandson was 3 mo older every time and you only had a few hours to visit, so we lost a lot of his 1st year.
Prayers Matilda is a good girl for you.

ARG... I get so distracted with other things... Barely touched the inside of the truck, and got our next load out of here on Friday... Guess its time to get to it!!
Planning on taking out about half of our 'supplies'. Since we make it home weekly (most of the time) I'm going to make sure we have clothes enough for two weeks, plus an emergency change... and canned food enough for four days... We will still get our fresh food, but no need for the canned supplies we were carrying... I might even have room on the upper bunk now for .... I don't know, but there will be some room LOL! -
The truck he has now is one of those freightliner lightbody trucks. The bed he says is perhaps a little bigger than the international, and the cabinets are next to it and they sit almost on top of the back of the seats. Very little floor space. No room for a refrigerator except to put it in the passenger seat for now. He still has things to recollect at his sisters house whenever he gets back up that way, like the micorwave.
Well the upper bunk can be used for laundry bags or extra blankets, coats, things that won't go ouch if they fall off at least. And just remember if you clean the truck out, you'll be a month trying to figure out if you have it or where it is.Lady K Thanks this. -

I know the stuff under the seat cushions never got accessed that way very often except from the bottom side. I just wonder why they didn't put a second door in, it makes it so much easier to store things that aren't needed all the time.
They keep on chopping on the sizes of the trucks to keep fuel economy up and the weight down, but when it is your home for a large part of your life it would be better to have a few more comforts maybe. I didn't drive when I was out with him before and had my crocheting, books and computer that kept me busy, besides cooking. I think they must have men design these things too; I bet if women got into there would be a lot more things on the trucks. -

The inside compared to the old volvo is devoid of a lot of things. Your freightliner must look pretty much like his inside does. I wish it had the top bunk where he had more room to eventually to put his microwave in.
I really love the little lights you have strung, they look like chili peppers. He complains there is not enough light in the back.
The only thing I would worry about is the refrig if ever you were ever in a wreck of some sort and it flying through the air. -
And yes, those are red chili lights... LOL! They give off enough glow so at night the other person can move around but not enough light to bother the driver. For when we are stopped though, he's right... there isn't much light in that bunk... Just one near the head... A 'reading' light :/
With the dog hair we are pretty lucky... With a chihuahua there isn't much, and what there is is really short!!
