I'll tell ya true on this: I spent the last two years living on crewboats in the Gulf offshore....and I HATED turning my rack (read:bunk) light on to read at night... bothered others a lot....
When I discovered this e-reading business on my Iphone,...not only could I read at night with just it and not bug anyone...but I could sit anywhere at all and browse, download/buy all the current and past books wherever I was!
Way cool!
They also dowload audio books.... <nudge nudge>
I dunno... but I will stick to this before I buy a Kindle and certainly before I buy an Ipad.... if that's all I'm buying it for....
I'm sure it's not confined to just Iphone...my daughter has an Android and does the same thing.....

Shhh don't tell my daughter (it was her Christmas present to me) but my eBook just isn't connecting to the internet well - I'm sure its something I'm doing/not doing -but I can't seem to get it to work right - sigh... but I do have my book (that I just purchased) on my computer - so I can read it here if I can't figure out my eBook... I'll have Klingon look it over when we get together - he's my IT guy
