Lady K, thinking about you and how great you're doing on your driving test... will have to catch the update later!

Klingon, congrats! That's an awesome looking truck. :)

Anxiously awaiting a post about the results of your test yesterday! I bet your busy with your other half today though so I guess we'll all have to wait a little while longer.

I'm betting the news is good...

That's SUPER Klingon!!! Congrats!!! I know it was a little rough going for you during your training. You are the proud owner of you and LadyK's new home on wheels! I am sure once LadyK is ready you can take your new house to Wally World and deck her out with what you need. Girls are so good at building "nests"!

Sounds like LadyK is also doing very well. Your "evil plan" is coming together nicely! I'm so friggin jealous!

    Lady K Thanks this.

    Please excuse the momentary highjack:

    PainNdaNeck,

If you are going to end up going to Swift or Covenant anyway why not just go through their school? They would have paid for your lodgings and school. They also help with food and such. Program is shorter and they will get you training quick which means you will be making money quicker. Just a thought. If you are going to a private school then your options are open as far as companies you choose. In this case personally I would look at some better options. Unless your MVR or background is blemished or bad.

I have reason's and a few past problems that out of the 20+ apps i have out there so far only 2 have said yes and more than ten use the "im in Michigan or wait 4-5months" .... as for the local goes the reason behind that is due to a few health hurdles to get my DOT Physical would have been tougher to get dealt with at a school outta state. Plus i got a full ride with no outta pocket going instate.

Lady K and chompi Thank this.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you too - I'll even bring my husband with me (he's here until his truck is ready). I suscribed to your thread so I can follow your adventure too :)

I PASSED!! <sigh of relief> I was really sweating it... I SUCKED yesterday. Stalled in an intersection, lost the gears on a hill - grinding on my down shifts... I just was so worried that I would do that today. The instructor/examiner was cool though - made me feel at ease and it was just her and me in the cab. No other students - no other distractions... I did it!! I was able to 'miss' up to 40 something... I missed 18. I feel pretty #### good about that!

Now Klingon is here in Fontana as well. He is all done with his trainer (thank God) and has done all the upgrade testing and has a truck assigned. It needs some front end work done on it and it should be ready on/about Wednesday. We will need to really watch the front tires for wear - but I think the shop will do a good job (I hope). So I will have to put up being w/Klingon until I ship out w/my trainer (tough job, but I'm up to it - LOL).

Such a weight off my shoulders - we are thinking about what to do to celebrate... Mmmm maybe Disney Land - LOL!

Thank you - I am still grinning ear to ear and Klingon has had to pull me down by the leg several times so I don't float away - LOL!
